Terms Of Service For Sour Citrus Suits
Welcome to Sour Citrus Suits
Within this document you will find a full breakdown of our terms and conditions which are binding and non negotiable once payment has been made. The maker and any representative may, at any time, reference this document if it is felt that a violation has occurred.
Behavior & Participation
- As a customer it is your obligation to behave in a calm and courteous manner when in studio social media groups.
- Harassment of the artist will not be accepted in any form.
- Inappropriate or otherwise offensive language or behavior will result in 1 warning followed by removal if behavior persists.
- Certain imagery including but not limited to political propaganda, unsolicited nudity, RL gore, animal abuse, etc will result in removal from chats, groups and potentially even termination of the commission.
- Clients are expected to bring any issues with workflow or their product to the artist privately in dms/email, not group chats or social media.
Commissioning Process
- Every commission needs a clear reference sheet displaying front and back of the character. If a client provides an unclear reference sheet and selects artistic liberty, we reserve the right to modify the design as we see fit for the fursuit.
- Every client will be contacted regarding fabric/fur choices for their commission prior to their slot being in the current batch. Clients have the final say in the fabric chosen for their commission until ordered.
- Not every single part of the process of creating the suit will be documented to the client. We reserve the right to work as we do best so as to not clog our workflow. (Ex. 1 colored handpaws with pawpads will be worked on and finished without any pictures provided to the client until completion photos.)
- Every client is given milestone WIP images of their commission. We typically send an image to confirm markings on tails, handpaws/feetpaws (if there are markings), bodysuits when taped, foam bases, and taped heads. This is the initial chance to give any design input regarding anything in the photos. After this point, any changes will be subject to an additional fee.
- Every client purchasing a head+ has access to our client chat where numerous photos are taken and posted on a near daily basis as we work. This will include multiple projects at a time typically ranging from premades to client work.
- We work Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm. Please view your trello card for progress on your suit prior to messaging us.
- Clients are expected to not harass the artist regarding progress, updates, casual conversations, etc. We are very busy bringing your characters to life!
- We request that clients do not message us privately on weekends since we are out of the office. Should we get a message Sat-Sun, we will likely not reply until Monday.
- Weekends are reserved for rest or premade work/con prep. Should we be working on a weekend, it will likely be premade work or catching up/getting ahead on client work. Should we need to send any photos regarding client work for approval on the weekend, we will respond to the client.
- Clients have 30 days to respond to WIP approvals. Delays with responses will extend the commission's wait time.
- Every client will get finished photos of their product prior to shipping.
- We do not do any drop-offs/pickups unless offered by the artist.
- Should you be picking up a product from us at con, we will require a signature prior to turning the suit over.
Payment Information
- All payments must be made through Square. We will only accept Paypal under extreme conditions. (Such as Square not being available in your country.)
- A non refundable 50% deposit must be paid upfront to secure the slot. The slot will not be placed into our regular queue until fully paid off.
- A valid ID must be presented via email and a signed copy of the TOS will be required prior to an invoice being sent for a slot.
- We will NOT work with minors. We will NOT accept a commission if you are a minor. Please come back when you are 18.
- Clients have 14 days from acceptance to submit their ID, sign the TOS contract emailed to them and pay their invoice.
- Clients have 90 days to respond to end of work inquiries such as shipping payment, address confirmation, etc.
- Prior to ordering fur/fabrics, we will request the commissioner's input on colors, type, etc. This is your chance to agree or disagree with our suggestions. If fabric/fur is ordered and then unwanted, we will request an additional fee to be paid for new materials and restocking. This fee is non-refundable.
- Once you have been selected for a slot and payment has been made, the character may not be swapped. Changes to the characters design can be made for an additional fee, including but not limited to marking changes, eye color changes, etc.
- Payment plans are available on commissions exceeding $1000. We will accept a 50% (half of the total amount) non-refundable down payment immediately upon commissioning and then require 25% (half of the remaining amount) the next month and the final amount the month after.
- California Sales Tax is added to every purchase. This rate is 7.75% and is not negotiable. This is added through Square automatically and affects the total. The total you are told via email is not including sales tax. Sales Tax is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Premade Suits
- Premade suits are purchasable through our website, at cons or through email/dms on socials.
- We require full payment upfront and in full and do not allow payment plans on premade work.
- Premades are subject to full artistic liberty. We reserve the right to change the design as we see fit.
- If a premade suit is purchased, design inputs are not taken into consideration unless they are minor changes. (Ex. Elbow tufts being a different color, additional marking on an unmade part of the suit, etc.)
- There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES on premade suits.
Refunds & Payments
- Upon commissioning, a 50% non refundable deposit is due.
- We only allow a 3 month payment plan when needed. Otherwise, we encourage payment in full. The slot will not be placed into queue until fully paid off.
- You will be required to uphold your payment due dates. Missing more than 2 payment due dates without prior contact will result in us cancelling your commission.
- Missing payment due dates may result in a late fee.
- We understand things happen. If you need a refund, please reach out via email or telegram and we will work out the refund civilly.
- Harassment of the artist/business will not be tolerated. Should the client be participating in harassment, they will only be entitled to a 30% refund.
- We reserve the right to terminate any commission for any reason.
- If we decide to terminate a commission for any reason, a full refund will be provided to the client.
- If we, Sour Citrus Suits, are unable to complete a commission within 1 year from full payment, the client is entitled to a full refund. Any finished work will be modified and resold at our discretion.
- Should a client become rude/pushy/intolerant/demanding at any point, we reserve the right to terminate the commission.
- Should a client attempt to escalate with a forced refund, we reserve the right to log conversations/emails/social media posts/etc and provide them as proof to the processing company. We also reserve the right to post said logs online in a client beware.
- Should a client request a refund with parts made, we will either refund what wasn’t worked on and ship the completed parts or refund the client (minus the deposit) and resell the parts as is or modified at our discretion.
Abandonment Clause
- If a client is unreachable for 90 days, the commission will be considered abandoned.
- Attempts for contact will be made on the 30th, 60th and 89th day. We will make no less than 3 attempts to notify a customer of abandonment prior to altering the project.
- No refund will be given for an abandoned project. The project will be modified and resold at our discretion.
- After the 90th day, all communications will cease with the client and they will be blacklisted from all future inquiries.
NSFW Policies
- If you use your suit for NSFW activities, that is perfectly fine by us, however we request you let us know as this will void your one month warranty immediately due to excessive wear.
- We will not disclose a NSFW suit to the public, however we reserve the right to show images of the features to potential clients inquiring about NSFW additions.
- Repairs to a NSFW suit can be asked about privately in DMS or email. We will do our best to help walk you through how to fix anything on your suit including short videos on how to repair something.

- If a fursuit is lost in transit, we are not responsible for its loss. If insurance covers the cost of the product, we will gladly discuss with the client on a refund or remake of the suit.
